Thalictrum Thundercloud (Meadow Rue)

Thalictrum Thundercloud was introduced by British plantswoman and garden designer Beth Chatto in 1989. It is a hybrid of Thalictrum aquilegifolium and Thalictrum pruinosum, both of which are native to Europe.

The name "Thundercloud" refers to the deep purple stamens of the flowers, which resemble thunderclouds.
